Taiwan Extends Visa-Free Entry for New Southbound Countries

  • Taiwan has announced a one-year extension of its trial visa exemption policy for nationals of Thailand, Brunei and the Philippines, effective from 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026 

Continued Efforts to Improve Visa Policies 

Taiwan will extend the visa-free entry program for Thailand, Brunei and the Philippines, continue the “Guanhong Project” group travel e-visa until 31 December 2026, and maintain the conditional visa-free entry for Southeast Asian nationals under the “Advance Online Check for Traveling to Taiwan” (TAC) program. 

The government will also continue discussions with partner nations to enhance visa arrangements for Taiwanese travelers.
