India Expands E-Visa Entry Network with 11 Additional International Ports
- India has expanded its e-Visa program by authorizing 11 additional international entry points, increasing the total number of e-Visa-enabled ports to 88.

India’s Ministry of Home Affairs has designated 11 additional international ports for the entry of foreign nationals holding Indian e-Visas, further expanding access for international travelers.
The newly authorized entry points include:
- 2 airports: Bhopal and Tirupati
- 9 land ports: Including Attari and Agartala
With these additions:
- The total number of e-Visa-enabled international ports has increased to 88.
The network now includes:
- 37 airports
- 38 seaports
- 13 land ports
Looking Ahead
India broadened access to its e-Visa program by adding more entry points nationwide. According to the government, authorities process about 95% of e-Visa applications within 72 hours, helping travelers plan trips and enter the country more quickly.
The additional ports are expected to improve travel flexibility for business travelers, tourists and foreign nationals entering India using an e-Visa.
