Qatar: U.S. Visa Waiver Program

  • Qatar will join the U.S. visa waiver program beginning 1 December 2024  

Overview  

Starting 1 December 2024, Qatari nationals can apply to travel to the United States as B-1/B-2 visitors under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). If eligible, travelers will not need a visa from a U.S. consulate for business or tourist travel. 

Under the VWP, business visitors can engage in approved B-1 activities in the U.S. for up to 90 days. Applicants must submit their applications using the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) at least 72 hours before travel.
