European Union: Visa Rules for Ethiopian Nationals

  • The European Union will temporarily suspend certain visa permissions for Ethiopian nationals beginning 29 April 2024  

Overview  

The European Union (EU) will no longer allow member states to waive visa requirements or issue multiple entry visas. Additionally, the EU shared that the standard visa-processing period now becomes 45 calendar days instead of 15.   

According to the announcement, this suspension is temporary and will be lifted after collaboration with the government of Ethiopia.
