Denmark 2026 Residence Permit Fees Increased

Application Fees
Denmark has updated its annual fee schedule for SIRI‑processed residence permit applications, raising costs across all major case types.
- Work permit fees increase from DKK 6,055 to DKK 6,810
- Study permit fees rise from DKK 2,255 to DKK 3,060
- Au pair and intern fees increase slightly from DKK 4,210 to DKK 4,305
- Accompanying family fees rise from DKK 2,380 to DKK 3,080.
Authorities adjust these fees annually to reflect the administrative tasks involved in case processing.
Au Pair Rates
Denmark has also introduced updated 2026 rates for au pair compensation and language‑learning contributions.
- The required monthly allowance increases to DKK 5,250
- The mandatory contribution toward Danish‑language classes increases to DKK 20,900
These new rates apply to all au pair applications submitted on or after 1 January 2026, with the applicable rate determined by the date the application is received by a diplomatic mission, visa center, SIRI office, physical mail, contact form, or via the online AU1 form.
