Denmark Launches New GL2 Digital Application for Accompanying Family Members in Greenland

Denmark GL2 Application Update
The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) has launched GL2, a new fully digital residence permit application for individuals applying as accompanying family members in Greenland.
The Directorate of Immigration made the application available on May 11, 2026, and applicants can now complete and submit it directly through newtodenmark.dk.
Who Can Use GL2
Applicants may use the GL2 form to request a residence permit as an accompanying family member to a person who:
- Is already in Greenland, or
- Is moving to Greenland for work or study, and
- Holds a temporary residence permit, or
- Has held a permanent residence permit for less than three years.
The GL2 application can also be used to extend an existing residence permit for accompanying family members.
