Cyprus Rolls Out Digital Service for Residence Permit Renewals
Cyprus’ Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection, together with the Migration Department, launched a new online service enabling third‑country nationals, employers and authorized representatives to renew select residence permits electronically.
Who Can Use the New Digital Service
The platform is available to:
- Third‑country nationals legally residing in Cyprus
- Employers renewing permits for their employees
- Authorized representatives (law firms, organizations, individuals)
Covered Residence Permit Categories
The digital renewal system currently supports the following permit types:
- Remunerated Employment
- Domestic Employment
- Employees in Companies of Foreign Interests
- Family Reunification
- Family Members of Long‑Term Residents
- Long‑Term Resident Permits
Important: The service supports renewals only, not initial applications.
What Applicants Can Do Online
The digital platform allows users to:
- Complete and submit renewal applications
- Upload required documents
- Manage authorizations for representatives
- Receive real‑time application updates
- Pay fees electronically
- Select a service point for biometric collection and permit pickup
Physical presence is required only for biometric data and signature collection.
