MOS System for Foreign Nationals

Poland confirmed that the MOS system (Moduł Obsługi Spraw)—a new digital platform for managing residence and work authorization processes—will officially launch on June 1, 2026.

The MOS system will replace several existing tools and introduce a unified, electronic process for submitting and tracking applications for foreign nationals residing in Poland.

According to officials, MOS is designed to:

  • Streamline the submission and processing of applications for temporary, permanent and longterm EU residence permits.
  • Improve communication between applicants, employers and provincial authorities.
  • Reduce processing delays by centralizing case management.

What the System Will Replace

MOS will consolidate or replace:

  • The current inPOL system
  • Various regional efiling tools
  • Paperbased submission processes used by voivodeship offices

How MOS Will Work

Application Submission

Users will be able to:

  • Create an online account
  • Submit applications electronically
  • Upload required documents
  • Receive notifications and requests for additional information

Case Tracking

The system will allow applicants and employers to:

  • Monitor application status
  • View deadlines and outstanding requirements
  • Communicate with case officers

Transition Period

The Office for Foreigners notes:

  • Applications submitted before June 1, 2026, will continue to be processed under existing procedures.
  • New applications filed on or after June 1, 2026, must be submitted through MOS.
