Poland Extends Belarus Travel Document Relief

  • Poland extended through December 31, 2026, a temporary measure allowing eligible Belarusian nationals to apply for Polish travel documents for foreigners under simplified rules. 

Poland Extends Belarus Travel Documents 

Poland extended special accommodations for Belarusian nationals residing in the country who need a Polish travel document for foreigners.  

The extension is intended to ensure continued access to the program through the end of 2026.  

Key Changes 

  • Belarusian citizens may continue applying for a Polish travel document for foreigners until December 31, 2026.  
  • The extension takes effect July 1, 2026.  
  • The measure maintains uninterrupted access to relief provisions first introduced on July 1, 2023.  

Who Is Affected? 

The extension applies to: 

  • Belarusian nationals residing in Poland. 
  • Individuals eligible to apply under Article 252a(1) of Poland’s Act on Foreigners.
