Overview
The government of Australia, in collaboration with the government of India, signed a new migration pathway agreement with the goal of promoting work and travel between the two countries. Furthermore, the agreement establishes the following conditions:
- Indian nationals who have graduated from a higher education institution in Australia can apply for an extended post-graduate work visa. The visa will be valid for up to eight years.
- Creating a new pilot visa program in Australia known as the Mobility Arrangement for Talented Early-Professionals scheme that will be open to Indian nationals employed in the sectors of renewable energy, mining, engineering, artificial intelligence, FinTech and more.
