United Arab Emirates Emiratization Deadline Approaches for June 2026
Key Point
- The United Arab Emirates has reminded private‑sector employers that Emiratization targets for the first half of 2026 must be met by June 30 to avoid financial penalties.
UAE Emiratization Requirements
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reiterated that private‑sector companies with 50 or more employees must achieve 1% Emiratization growth in skilled roles by June 30, 2026, with a 2% annual target due by year‑end.
Beginning July 1, 2026, MoHRE will apply financial contributions to employers that do not meet the mid‑year requirement.
The Ministry also emphasized enforcement against fake Emiratization practices, including potential reclassification and legal action and encouraged employers to use the Nafis platform to meet hiring goals.
