New Zealand Moves Family of Temporary Visa Holder Applications to Enhanced Immigration Online
Key Point
- New Zealand has transitioned its family of temporary visa holder applications to its enhanced Immigration Online system.
Temporary Visa Holder Applications to Enhanced Immigration Online
Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has announced that, as of June 1, 2026, applications for family members of temporary visa holders must now be submitted through the country’s enhanced Immigration Online system.
Visa Types Now Using Enhanced Immigration Online
The system will automatically direct applicants to the enhanced platform when they apply for:
- Student visas (e.g., Dependent Child Student Visa)
- Work visas (e.g., Partner of a Worker, Partner of a Student, Partner of a Military)
- Visitor visas for partners or children of temporary workers, students or military personnel
INZ will continue processing applications submitted in the old system on or before May 31, 2026, and applicants may still upload documents or respond to INZ requests until INZ issues a decision.
