France Increases Minimum Wage for 2026

  • France introduced a new minimum wage standard on 1 January 2026. 

Minimum Wage in France  

France increased the national minimum wage (SMIC) on 1 January 2026 following its annual adjustment. 

  • The SMIC increased by 1.18%. 
  • The new gross monthly minimum wage is €1,823.03. 

The annual adjustment is based on two factors: inflation rates and overall wage growth within the country.
