Finland: Schengen Visa Fee Increases

Key Points

  • Finland increased financial requirements for applicants of short-term 90-day Schengen visas

Overview

The government of Finland increased the financial requirement for short-term 90-day Schengen visa holders to EUR 50 per day of stay and introduced a new proof of sponsorship form for visa applicants.

The introduction of proof of sponsorship allows a Finnish citizen or a person residing in Finland with a residence permit to finance the visa applicant’s travel, which may be considered in the visa consideration. The inviting party must complete the proof of sponsorship form, which must be submitted with the visa application.
