Brazil Launches Electronic Temporary Visa Process

• Brazil has introduced an electronic application process for select temporary visa categories, enabling eligible visa-exempt nationals to apply online without submitting physical documents or passports. 

Electronic Temporary Visa Process 

Effective September 1, 2026, Brazil has introduced an electronic visa (eVisa) process for temporary visa applicants who are nationals of countries exempt from Brazil’s visitor visa requirements.  

Applicants must file requests through the Integrated Consular System (SCI) and upload supporting documents online. 

Physical submission of documents and passports is no longer required.  

Once approved, the visa will be sent directly to the applicant’s email address.
