Australia Extends Visa Processing Times

  • Australia has announced increased visa processing times across multiple categories, including Temporary Skill Shortage and Training visas 

Increased Applications Extend 2025 Visa Processing Times 

Australia announced increased processing times for several visa categories due to high application volumes. Temporary Skill Shortage visas now take two to seven months, up from one to three months. Skills in Demand visa streams also face delays, with Specialist Skills taking nine to 39 days (previously seven) and Core Skills requiring 30 to 47 days (up from 21). Training (subclass 407) visas now take around nine months, a significant jump from the prior three months due to stricter scrutiny. Employer Nomination visa processing remains steady at 12-18 months.
