Sweden: Median Wage Increases

  • Sweden increased the country’s median wage on 18 June 2024 to 35600 SEK per month  

Overview  

The government of Sweden introduced a new median wage on 18 June 2024: 35600 SEK per month.  

The new income requirement applies to residence permits granted to foreign nationals from countries outside the EU/EEA. According to the announcement, EU Blue Card holders, ICT permit holders and seasonal workers will not be impacted.
