Singapore: New Entry Requirements for CMP Employers

  • Singapore introduced new application process requirements for employers hiring foreign national workers in the construction, marine shipyard and process sectors 

Overview  

The government of Singapore will require employers in the Construction, Marine Shipyard and Process (CMP) sectors to provide proof of accommodation before they are allowed to obtain new non-Malaysian Work Permit Holders (WPHs) in Singapore beginning 19 September 2023. Proof of accommodation can include one of the following: 

  • A form of tenancy or rental agreement; or  
  • Contracts of the accommodation provider(s).
