Philippines Introduces Visa‑Free Entry for Chinese Nationals
Key Point
- The Philippines announced that Chinese nationals may enter the country visa‑free for up to 14 days beginning 16 January 2026, subject to specific entry conditions.
Visa-Free Entry Permissions
As of 16 January 2026, the Philippines allows eligible Chinese nationals to enter the country without a visa for stays of up to 14 days.
The Department of Foreign Affairs restricts entry to NAIA (Manila) and MCIA (Cebu) and limits eligibility to tourism and business travel. The government classifies all stays as non‑extendable and non‑convertible, and travelers must present:
- A passport valid for at least six months
- A confirmed hotel reservation
- Proof of return or onward ticket
The policy will remain in place for one year, after which the government will review it.
