OFLC Reminds Employers of Upcoming H-2B Filing Window for FY 2027 First-Half Cap

H-2B Filing Window for FY 2027 First-Half Cap
On June 26, 2026, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) reminded employers that the three-day filing window for H-2B Applications for Temporary Employment Certification requesting an October 1, 2026, work start date will open on July 3, 2026, and close on July 5, 2026.
October 1, 2o26 marks the beginning of the first-half FY 2027 H-2B visa allocation period.

- Filing window: July 3, 2026, through July 5, 2026
- Requested start date: October 1, 2026
- Applications filed before the filing window opens will be denied.
- Applications submitted during the three-day filing period will be subject to OFLC’s randomization process before assignment for review.
Filing Reminders
OFLC also reminded employers to:
- File only one application per job opportunity.
- Submit the required State Workforce Agency (SWA) job order with the application.
- Provide details regarding board, lodging, or other deductions if applicable.
- Ensure Appendix B contains current signatures and dates.
