Hong Kong Expands Visa-Free Access with Nicaragua and Solomon Islands
- Hong Kong SAR passport holders can now travel visa-free to Nicaragua and, from August 26, 2026, to Solomon Islands for stays of up to 30 days.

The Hong Kong Immigration Department (ImmD) announced new reciprocal visa-free arrangements with Nicaragua and Solomon Islands, further expanding global mobility for Hong Kong SAR (HKSAR) passport holders.
Nicaragua
HKSAR passport holders may now enter Nicaragua visa-free for stays of up to 30 days.
Nicaraguan nationals will be able to visit Hong Kong visa-free for up to 30 days beginning August 26, 2026.
Solomon Islands
- Effective August 26, 2026, HKSAR passport holders may visit Solomon Islands visa-free for stays of up to 30 days.
- Solomon Islands nationals will also be able to visit Hong Kong visa-free for up to 30 days from the same date.
