EB-1 Visa Cap Reached for FY 2025

EB-1 Visa Availability Update 

As of September 6, 2025, the Department of State announced that the Employment-Based First Preference (EB-1) immigrant visa category has reached its annual numerical limit for fiscal year 2025. No further EB-1 visas will be issued until the start of the next fiscal year on October 1, 2025. Individuals awaiting EB-1 visa issuance should anticipate delays and monitor future Visa Bulletin updates for availability. Employers and applicants are advised to consult with immigration counsel to assess alternative strategies or timelines.
