Denmark Updated Wage Statistics for the Positive List for Skilled Work

Key Point

  • Denmark has published updated versions of the Positive List for People with a Higher Education and the Positive List for Skilled Work, effective 1 January 2026, reflecting minor adjustments to eligible occupations.

Positive List Updates

Denmark has confirmed that both Positive Lists have undergone small changes following SIRI’s latest labor‑market assessment on 1 January 2026. Most occupations remain unchanged, but officials have removed a small number of positions since the original list was posted.

As of 1 January 2026, the updated lists include:

  • Positive List for People with a Higher Education: 180 positions (previously 183 positions)
  • Positive List for Skilled Work: 54 positions (previously 57 positions)

SIRI notes that if an applicant submitted a residence and work permit application for a position added on 1 January but later removed, the agency will contact the applicant directly.

These lists determine which shortage occupations qualify for streamlined work authorization pathways under Denmark’s immigration rules, and officials update them twice per year to reflect current labour‑market needs.
