China Extends Visa-Free Entry for Select Countries Through 2026

  • China extended its visa-free entry policy for citizens of 45 countries and will newly include Swedish citizens starting 10 November 2025 

Visa-Free Entry to China  

On 3 November 2025, China announced an extension of its visa-free entry policy for citizens of several countries, including France, Germany and Spain. The government will now keep the policy in effect through 31 December 2026, instead of letting it expire at the end of 2025.

Starting 10 November 2025, citizens of Sweden can enter China without a visa for short-term stays, subject to the same conditions as other eligible countries.
