My eID Eligibility Expansion

The Cayman Islands Department of eGovernment expanded eligibility for the My eID program as part of the next phase of its national digital identity rollout.

Effective July 1, 2026, additional resident groups may now apply for a government-issued My eID card.

Applications are now being accepted from:

  • All permanent residents, with or without the right to work.

The expansion follows earlier phases that extended eligibility to Caymanians, civil servants and their dependents.
