Bermuda Narrows Ebola Screening Requirements for International Travelers

• Bermuda has reduced its Ebola-related travel screening measures and now focuses on monitoring exclusively of travelers arriving from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. 

Ebola Screening Requirements for International Travelers 

The Ministry of Health of Bermuda updated its Ebola Virus Disease surveillance protocols following a review of global public health conditions and guidance from the World Health Organization. These measures took effect on Aug. 28, 2026, and include:  

• Enhanced screening applies only to travelers who have been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo within the previous 21 days.  
• Entry screening and active monitoring requirements for travelers arriving from Uganda and South Sudan have been discontinued.  
• Border authorities will continue targeted health screening and travel history reviews for travelers meeting risk criteria.
