Belgium: New Shortage Occupations List for Flanders

Overview  

The government of Belgium, Flanders, will expand its shortage occupation list beginning 1 September 2023. The new list includes 29 positions. The government will continue to process applications submitted under the old list until 1 September 2023. Applicants under the shortage occupation are exempt from labor market testing and additional work extensions.  

What are the Changes?  

The Belgian government in Flanders will update its shortage occupation list to include 29 different positions. Generally, this list is updated every two years.
