Belgium: New Electronic Platform for Residence Permits Underway

  • Belgium aims to create a combined residence permit application system for all its regions and states  

Overview  

The government of Belgium plans to create an updated electronic platform for submitting residence applications. The platform will be functional between the Federal State, the Walloon Region, the Flemish Region, the Brussels-Capital Region and the German-speaking Community. The draft cooperation agreement is submitted to the Consultation Committee, after which the preliminary draft will be sent to the Council of State for opinion.
