Belgium Introduces Online “My Address in Belgium” (MAB) Form for Short‑Stay Foreign Nationals

Key Point

  • Belgium introduced a new online system that allows certain foreign nationals to report their shortstay address electronically.

My Address in Belgium

As of April 10, 2026, Belgium has launched My Address in Belgium (MAB), a digital tool that enables eligible foreign nationals to declare their shortstay address online. The platform streamlines administrative procedures and reduces the need for physical visits to municipal offices.

How the MAB Tool Works

Through the MAB platform, foreign nationals staying in Belgium for a short period can submit their address information electronically. The new tool replaces the traditional process that required individuals to appear in person at the local municipality to complete the declaration.

The government states that the tool simplifies reporting obligations and improves processing efficiency for both visitors and municipal authorities.

Who Can Use the MAB System

The MAB tool is intended for eligible shortstay foreign nationals who must declare their address upon arrival in Belgium.
