Working in New Zealand
The type of visa needed for business-related activities in New Zealand is determined by the country your employee is from, the duration of stay, and the types of business-related activities they will be doing.
Foreign nationals who hold an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Card (ABTC) and foreign nationals who travel to Australia as a business visitor are able to do a variety of business-related activities for 90 days without a visa. Additionally, foreign nationals from more than 60 countries, including European Union member states, Canada, and the United States, can travel as a business visitor without a visa for up to 90 days.
With the exception of Australia, generally, all foreign nationals who will be working in New Zealand are required to apply for and secure a visa.
