There are two main types of business-related visas for travel to India: the Business Visa and the Employment Visa.

If you’re planning on sending an employee to India for the purpose of attending business meetings, you’d generally apply for a Business Visa.

Employment Visas are for individuals who will be traveling to India to complete work-related activities for a company registered in India. If you have an Indian registered company, or you have or plan to merge with or acquire an India-based company, it can be confusing to determine which visa you should apply for.
