United Kingdom Graduate Visa Duration of Stay

Graduate Visa Changes
The United Kingdom will introduce new rules for its graduate visa category beginning 1 January 2027. The rule change includes shortening the visa validity from two years to 18 months. Applications submitted on or before 31 December 2026 will still receive the full two‑year stay.
PhD and doctoral graduates remain eligible for a three‑year visa, with no change to their duration.
