United Kingdom 2026 Immigration and Nationality Fees Order Takes Effect

Immigration and Nationality Amendment  

The United Kingdom (U.K.) introduced the Immigration and Nationality (Fees) (Amendment) Order 2026 (SI 2026/252), which updates the legal framework governing how immigration and nationality fees are set.  

The Order was made on 9 March 2026 and came into force on 10 March 2026. 

What the Order Does 

The amendment updates the Home Office’s underlying authority to charge fees across a wide range of immigration and nationality services. While the Order itself does not list specific fee amounts, it enables the Home Office to revise charges for categories such as: 

• Visa applications 
• Settlement and Indefinite Leave to Remain 
• Nationality and citizenship applications 
• Premium and expedited services
