Saudi Arabia Allows Skilled Foreign Workers to Process Family Visas Alongside Work Permits
- Saudi Arabia now permits eligible skilled foreign workers to obtain entry visas for qualifying family members concurrently with the completion of their work visa process, streamlining family relocation to the Kingdom.
Saudi Arabia Processes Family Visas Concurrently with Skilled Worker Authorization
The Ministry of Interior announced that, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, skilled expatriate heads of household are now permitted to bring eligible family members to Saudi Arabia through a simplified process.
Concurrent Processing of Work and Family Visas
Under the new measure, eligible skilled foreign workers may obtain entry visas for qualifying family members while their work visa applications are being processed.
Previously, family immigration processes often occurred separately after the principal worker’s arrival and immigration formalities.
Eligible Family Members
The policy applies to the following dependents of eligible skilled expatriate workers:
- Spouses;
- Sons under the age of 25; and
- Unmarried daughters.
Residency Finalization After Arrival
While eligible dependents may receive entry visas concurrently with the principal applicant’s work visa process, residency procedures will be completed after arrival in Saudi Arabia in accordance with applicable regulations and government requirements.
