Qatar Introduces Confirmatory Medical Exams for Arrivals from the Philippines
Key Point
- Qatar has begun conducting confirmatory medical examinations for new arrivals from the Philippines, following initial screenings completed at Qatar Visa Centers (QVCs) abroad
Medical Exam in Qatar
Qatar announced that individuals entering the country from the Philippines for residency purposes will now undergo a second medical screening at the Medical Commission upon arrival. Qatar conducts this follow-up exam to verify results from pre-departure testing at QVCs in the Philippines.
The confirmatory exam is free of charge and part of Qatar’s broader public health strategy to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. It applies to all new arrivals who completed their initial medical exam overseas as part of the visa process.
