Mozambique Suspends E-Visa System Temporarily
Mozambique announced on 16 May 2025 that it has temporarily halted a new policy requiring travelers from 29 visa-exempt countries to register their entry into the country at least 48 hours before departure.
This requirement, implemented on 24 April 2025, mandated that eligible travelers obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) through the official eVisa platform for a fee of MZN 650. The registration system has been suspended while technical issues are being resolved, and authorities plan to reinstate the policy once these challenges are addressed.
