Malaysia ESD Online Update Required for Section 60K JTKSM Approval Applications

  • Malaysia will require organizations to update and complete authorized personnel information in ESD Online by September 7, 2026, to support applications for JTKSM Approval Letters under Section 60K of the Employment Act 1955. 

Updated ESD Online Records for Section 60K JTKSM Approval Applications 

Malaysia’s Expatriate Services Division (ESD) announced that organizations must ensure that the details of all authorized personnel listed in ESD Online are complete and up to date. 

Beginning September 7, 2026, organizations with incomplete information will be required to update and complete the necessary details in the ESD Online. 

The measure is intended to improve data integration and streamline application processing of future Section 60K approval requests.  

Who is Impacted? 

The updated requirements apply to organizations registered in ESD Online, including:  

Organization Type  Required Information Updates 
Company  Director(s), Shareholder(s), Company Secretary, and Contact Information 
Firm  Partner(s) and Contact Information 
Society  Sponsor Committee Members and Contact Information 

Information That Must Be Updated 

Organizations should ensure that all required details are accurate and complete, including: 

  • Nationality 
  • Fixed-line telephone number (in the correct international format) 
  • Mobile telephone number (in the correct international format) 
  • Email address (valid format without spaces) 

Examples of accepted telephone formats include: +60123456789 

How to Update Information in ESD Online 

  1. Log in to ESD Online. 
  2. Review the homepage for any automatic pop-up notifications. 
  3. If a notification appears, update the missing information for the listed authorized personnel. 
  4. Click “Save” to submit the updated details. 

If no notification appears, the organization’s records are considered complete and no further action is required.
