Visa Waiver for Russians
China has introduced a one-year pilot policy granting visa-free entry to Russian citizens holding ordinary passports, effective from 15 September 2025, through 14 September 2026. Under the new arrangement, eligible Russian travelers may enter China for business, tourism, family visits or cultural exchanges without a visa, provided their stay does not exceed 30 days.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to facilitate cross-border mobility and deepen strategic cooperation between China and Russia. Officials emphasized that the move reflects high-level bilateral relations and aims to encourage more frequent travel and interpersonal connections between the two nations.
