CBP Announces Saudi Arabia’s Entry into the U.S. Global Entry Program

  • Citizens of Saudi Arabia are now eligible to apply for the U.S. Global Entry program, providing expedited airport clearance and access to TSA PreCheck benefits for approved travelers.

U.S. and Saudi Arabia Establish Global Entry Partnership

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is now an official partner in the Global Entry program, expanding participation in the trusted traveler initiative and strengthening travel cooperation between the two countries.

With this addition, Saudi Arabia becomes the 23rd international Global Entry partner, allowing eligible Saudi citizens to apply for membership in the program.

What Is Global Entry?

Global Entry is a trusted traveler program that allows preapproved, low-risk travelers to benefit from expedited processing when entering the U.S. Approved members receive:

  • Expedited clearance at participating U.S. airports.
  • Access to TSA PreCheck® benefits for eligible domestic flights within the U.S.

Eligibility and Application Process

According to CBP, Saudi Arabian applicants must undergo security screening by both U.S. and Saudi authorities before enrollment. The process includes:

  • Submission of a Global Entry application.
  • Vetting by U.S. and Saudi government authorities.
  • An in-person interview conducted by CBP.

Saudi citizens may also use the Trusted Traveler mobile application to apply for membership, manage accounts, schedule interviews, and renew memberships.

Global Entry Membership Validity

Approved Global Entry memberships are valid for five years, provided participants continue to meet all program requirements. CBP notes that violations of program rules may result in enforcement action, including termination of membership.

Growing Global Entry Network

Saudi Arabia joins a group of international Global Entry partners that includes countries such as:

  • Australia
  • Bahrain
  • Germany
  • India
  • Japan
  • Singapore
  • South Korea
  • United Arab Emirates
  • United Kingdom

among others.
