  • Canada will update its permanent residence fees on April 30, 2026.

Permanent Residence Fees

Canada announced that permanent residence (PR) fees will increase on April 30, 2026.  

The adjustments are part of Canada’s biennial fee update to keep pace with inflation and support program delivery. 

Key Changes 

Effective April 30, 2026, the following fees will increase: 

Permanent Residence Category  Previous Fee  New Fee  Increase 
Right of Permanent Residence Fee  $575  $600  +$25 
Provincial Nominee Program  $950  $990  +$40 
Business Class  $1,810  $1,895  +$85 
Family Class  $545  $570  +$25 
Protected Persons  $635  $660  +$25 
Humanitarian & Compassionate / Public Policy  $635  $660  +$25 
Permit Holders  $375  $390  +$15 

Applications received on or after April 30, 2026, will be subject to the new fees.
