Cambodia Grants Temporary Visa Exemption for Chinese Travelers

  • Cambodia has introduced a temporary visa exemption for eligible Chinese passport holders, allowing multiple entries and stays of up to 14 days from June 15 through October 15, 2026. 

Temporary Visa Exemption for Chinese Travelers 

Cambodia launched a temporary visa exemption program for travelers holding passports from the People’s Republic of China (PRC). Eligible travelers visiting Cambodia for 14 days or less can now enter without obtaining a Tourist Visa (Visa T) or paying visa fees under the new measure.

The temporary exemption is in effect for four months, from June 15, 2026, through October 15, 2026. 

Key Changes 

  • Visa exemption period: June 15, 2026, to October 15, 2026. 
  • Eligible travelers: Passport holders from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. 
  • Exclusion: Taiwanese passport holders are not covered by the exemption. 
  • Maximum stay: Up to 14 days per entry. 
  • Entry type: Multiple entries permitted during the exemption period. 
  • Visa requirement: No Tourist Visa (Visa T) application or visa fee required. 

Additional Requirement 

Eligible travelers must still complete Cambodia’s E-Arrival Card before entering the country.

The policy benefits: 

  • Business travelers from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. 
  • Tourists planning short-term visits to Cambodia. 
  • Frequent travelers who may require multiple entries during the four-month exemption period.
