Bulgaria to Raise Minimum Wage in 2026
Bulgaria has adopted a decree establishing new minimum wage levels effective 1 January 2026. The measure increases the minimum monthly wage from 1,077 BGN to 1,213 BGN (approximately €620.20) and sets the minimum hourly wage at 7.31 BGN (approximately €3.74).
The new rates apply to employees working a standard schedule of eight hours per day and five days per week. Employers should review payroll and employment contracts to ensure compliance with the updated requirements.
