Aruba Issues Clarification on Work Permit Process
Key Point
- Aruba clarified several steps in the work permit process and outlined how officials submit and review applications.
Work Permit Review Process
Aruba released new guidance explaining that the Department of Integration, Management and Admission of Foreigners (DIMAS) is responsible for assessing work permit requests after they are submitted by the Department of Labor (DAO).
Under the process, DIMAS reviews whether a foreign national meets the admission requirements and confirms that all required documents are included before issuing a decision.
The government emphasized that this clarification helps the public better understand the sequence of responsibilities between DAO and DIMAS in the overall work‑permit process.
