Additionally, the government and Sweden Democrats will launch an investigation into potential abuses of the immigration system to improve oversight and prevent fraudulent applications.

These new family reunification requirements and the planned investigation complement Sweden’s recent adjustment to the labor immigration salary threshold, which was raised to SEK 29,680 per month.
