Poland to Launch New Online System for Residence Permit Applications in 2026
Key Point
- Starting in 2026, Poland will require applicants to submit all residence permit applications exclusively online through the new MOS2 portal
Poland Residence Permit Form
Poland announced that beginning in 2026, all residence permit applications will be submitted exclusively online through the new MOS2 portal (Case Handling Module). Authorities have confirmed that the system will not launch on 1 January 2026, as originally expected, but will roll out later in the year.
Submission Process
To submit an application, foreign nationals will need to create an account in MOS, log in via login.gov.pl, and hold either a trusted profile or an electronic signature. During the application process, applicants must also provide the email address of their employer, university or internship/volunteering organizer.
The system will then send a link to the Attachment form to that entity, which must be completed and signed. Submitting this attachment will be essential for the application to be successfully filed.
Post Submission Process
After the office verifies the submitted application, the system generates a confirmation document that replaces the current stamp. The authorities then summon applicants to provide fingerprints in person.
Key requirements include:
- Account creation in MOS and login via login.gov.pl
- Trusted profile or electronic signature
- Employer, university or organizer email for Attachment form submission
