OFLC Publishes H‑2B Assignment Groups for April 2026

Key Point

  • OFLC has released the randomized assignment groups for more than 10,000 H‑2B applications submitted January 1–3, 2026, identifying which filings fall into Group A for review toward the April 1, 2026, start‑date cap

H-2B Assignment Groups 2026

On January 5, 2026, the Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) published the randomized assignment groups for 10,062 H-2B applications, covering 162,603 worker positions with a start date of April 1, 2026.

Using the randomization procedures outlined in the March 4, 2019, Federal Register notice, OFLC completed the randomization on January 4, 2026, and assigned all Group A applications to National Processing Center analysts for issuance of Notices of Deficiency or Acceptance. Group A contains enough worker positions to meet the 33,000‑visa semiannual H‑2B cap for the April 1 start‑date period.

OFLC also issued written notices on January 4, 2026, to each employer—and their authorized attorney or agent—confirming the assignment group for their filing(s).
