Ireland Adds Pakistan to Accelerated Protection Decisions

Ireland will now prioritize international protection applications from Pakistani nationals under its accelerated decision-making process, which was first introduced in November 2022.

This procedure currently delivers initial decisions in approximately four months, with expectations for faster turnaround times ahead. The move comes in response to a significant increase in applications from Pakistan, which has consistently ranked as the second highest nationality for protection requests in recent quarters.
