India Clarifies e-Arrival Card Requirements for All Travelers 

Following the recent introduction of the mandatory e-Arrival Card requirement effective 1 October 2025, India issued further clarification regarding submission procedures. All foreign nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders must now complete and submit the e-Arrival Card within 72 hours prior to their scheduled arrival in India. 

Key Requirements 

  • Who Must Submit: All foreign nationals and OCI cardholders entering India for any purpose. 
  • Submission Deadline: Travelers must submit the e-Arrival Card online no earlier than 72 hours before arrival and no later than their scheduled arrival time.
  • Submission Platform: Travelers must use the official e-Arrival portal to complete the form. 
  • Required Information: 
    • Passport details 
    • Flight and arrival information 
    • Purpose of visit 
    • Accommodation address in India 

Compliance Reminder 

Failure to submit the e-Arrival Card within the required timeframe may result in delays at immigration or denial of entry. The form is now integrated into India’s immigration clearance process and may be cross-verified with visa and travel records. 

e-Arrival Card Requirements  

India introduced a mandatory e-Arrival Card for travelers entering the country, effective 1 October 2025. All passengers must now complete and submit the e-Arrival Card online prior to arrival.  

This digital form streamlines immigration processing and enhances border security. The update applies to both Indian citizens and foreign nationals and travelers are advised to fill out the card accurately to avoid delays at entry points.
