India Introduces New Consular Centers in the U.S.

India Expands Consular Service
India will significantly enhance its consular presence in the U.S. with the launch of eight new Indian Consular Application Centers (ICACs) in Boston, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Edison, Orlando, Raleigh and San Jose, bringing the total to 17 nationwide.
A center in Los Angeles is also set to open soon. These ICACs will offer a wide range of services:
- Including visa applications.
- OCI processing.
- Passport services.
- Renunciation of citizenship.
- Police clearance certificates.
- Attestation.
All centers will now operate six days a week, including Saturdays and offer added conveniences like free document support and integrated courier services. This expansion reflects India’s commitment to strengthening people-to-people ties and improving service delivery for the 5.3 million-strong Indian diaspora in the U.S.
