France Increases Immigration‑Related Fees Effective May 2026

France’s 2026 Budget Law introduces significant adjustments to the cost of immigration procedures. These changes affect first‑time residence permits, renewals, provisional permits and citizenship applications. According to government‑aligned reporting, the increases include: 

• The first‑time residence permit fee is rising to €300.  
• The renewal fee has increased to €200.  
• The naturalization application fee (timbre fiscal) is increasing from €55 to €255.  
• Temporary or provisional cards set at €100, with reduced‑rate categories remaining available under specific conditions.
